A cold water supply pipe feeds a half-inch shutoff valve equipped with a chrome plated escutcheon plate on the wall. The shutoff valve connects to a trap primer valve with an integral backflow preventer and vacuum breaker port, specifically Precision Plumbing Products model P1-500 DU-3 for three floor drains or P1-500 DU-1 for one floor drain. A secure distribution unit is mounted to a backing sheet between studs in the janitor closet. From the distribution unit, half-inch copper tubing trap supplies route below the floor to the floor drain traps.
