The fan coil unit is suspended from structural or supplemental steel for metal deck systems or directly from the structural concrete slab per the structural engineer's requirements. Spring and neoprene isolators provide 1.25-inch static deflection for fans operating above 550 RPM, with the hanger box positioned near the structure without touching. Flexible connections made of coated fiberglass cloth are installed on both sides of the fan and must remain untaut during installation. Ductwork transitions gradually from round to rectangular with a maximum 30-degree included angle in either plane.
ATTACH TO STRUCTURAL OR SUPPLEMENTAL STEEL IF METAL DECK SYSTEM, OR TO SLAB IF STRUCTURAL CONCRETE (PER STRUCTURAL ENGINEER'S REQS.) SPRING/NEOPRENE ISOLATORS, 1.25" STATIC DEFLECTION (FAN RPM > 550). HANGER BOX NEAR STRUCTURE , BUT NOT TOUCHING. FLEXIBLE CONNECTIONS ON BOTH SIDES OF FAN, COATED FIBERGLASS CLOTH, MUST NOT BE TAUT WHEN INSTALLED. GRADUAL ROUND TO RECTANGULAR TRANSITION. MAX 30 DEGREES INCLUDED ANGLE IN EITHER PLANE.
