The branch duct connects to the main supply or return duct using a spin-in fitting or forty-five-degree boot equipped with a balancing damper and locking quadrant. A two-inch duct extension is provided to allow operation of the damper without damage to the exterior insulation. Flexible duct installations must maintain a bend radius equal to or greater than one duct diameter.
