A 1350-pound boiler unit mounts onto a four-inch concrete pad resting on the floor. The boiler tubing frame is anchored using four field-supplied two-by-two-by-three-eighths-inch angle clips measuring two and one-half inches long on both sides. Each angle clip is secured to the concrete pad with a three-eighth-inch diameter Hilti KB-TZ expansion anchor having a two-and-three-quarter-inch embedment depth. Clips and welds are covered with a protective coating to prevent rust.
