These mechanical details illustrate hanger assemblies for both uninsulated and insulated pipes using Mason clevis type hangers with a clevis cross bolt and Mason adjustable swivel type hangers suspended from hanger rods. For insulated pipes, a protective shield is positioned between the insulation and the hanger to prevent crushing. Pipe sizes from one-half inch to four inches utilize three-eighths inch diameter rods, while sizes from five inches to eight inches require one-half inch diameter rods as specified in the hanger rod schedule. Structural attachment of the hanger rods is coordinated per sheet S921.
