An upblast exhaust fan sits atop a sheet metal factory curb secured to the roof assembly with a minimum three-inch nail. A backdraft damper is installed within the throat of the curb above a four-inch by four-inch wood support sized per structural drawings. A one-quarter-inch mesh wire screen is provided at the bottom of the opening.
