Floor penetration sleeves must be placed strictly on the flat portions of the steel deck with a maximum diameter or square dimension of six inches. The concrete slab thickness is sized per plan, referencing the top of the slab. Cutting of the steel deck is prohibited without prior approval from the structural engineer.
