A prefabricated roof curb is mounted to a typical composite metal deck with attachment detailed for concrete-filled metal deck. A 20-gauge sheet metal duct extends between five and seven feet, supported by a 20-gauge duct strap attached to the upper structure. A Ruskin CBD2 backdraft damper or equal is installed within the duct system, set at 0.01 inches water gauge static pressure to open. The underside features a 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board ceiling finish.
