The domestic water service line enters through a six-inch cold water pipe supported by typical wall supports and unions, passing through a water meter and a six-inch reduced pressure principle backflow preventer with a one-and-a-half-inch bypass. A relief valve set at one hundred psig discharges fully to a floor drain via an air gap. The system includes an expansion tank, which must be charged to match site water pressure prior to connection, along with a three-quarter-inch capped drain, a three-quarter-inch drain valve, and a hose end with a vacuum breaker.
