An air handler coil piping arrangement features a 2-way modulating control valve and a calibrated balancing valve on the supply and return lines. Isolation valves and a strainer are included on the piping loop for maintenance access. Pressure and temperature test plugs are placed typically along with an air vent at the high point. A three-quarter-inch ball valve with a hose thread drain connection provides drainage capability. Unions are installed typically near the coil connections, and piping is arranged to maintain required service clearances.
