A CoreBrace buckling restrained brace connects to a strong-axis steel column and intersecting steel beam through a gusset plate assembly. Stiffener plates are welded near-side and far-side to the column and beam webs as required by the manufacturer. Weld symbols specify sizing and length parameters for both the brace-to-gusset and gusset-to-framing connections. Beam-to-column connections are referenced to structural sheet S600 series details.
