A branch duct connection to a main duct incorporates a forty-five degree entry per SMACNA standards with a six inch minimum dimension. High velocity duct systems require the entry opening to be noted as not to exceed fifteen hundred feet per minute to avoid noise generation.
NOTE: 6" MIN. BRANCH DUCT MAIN DUCT PER SMACNA 45° ENTRY WHEN USING THIS TAKE-OFF FOR HIGH VELOCITY DUCT SYSTEMS THE ENTRY OPENING SHOULD BE NOTED: "NOT TO EXCEED 1500 FPM" TO AVOID NOISE GENERATION.
