The condensate drain trap is piped using Type M copper tubing connected to the air conditioning unit drain pan through a casing sleeve, a reducer, and a union. A drain plug is provided at the bottom of the trap. The vertical drop dimensions A and B are determined by the fan static pressure and unit tonnage formulas shown. The downstream piping includes a vent open to the atmosphere and discharges condensate into a roof drain with a minimum slope of 1/8 inch per foot.
