A wall-mounted air conditioning unit is installed against the wall structure with supply and return grilles passing through rough wall openings provided by others. The top of the AC unit features a factory-supplied rain flashing and a foam air seal, supplemented by a continuous bead of caulking along the entire length of the top edge. A condensate drain extends from the bottom of the unit to an approved receptor by the plumber.
