The duct is sloped toward a central sump in accordance with local codes. A hinged access panel is required on each side if the width of the sump is greater than 36 inches. The duct must be welded to the duct sump to remain grease and water-tight per local codes. A 1.5-inch inside diameter drain and overflow connect to a P-trap provided by others.
