This elevation detail shows a custom stainless steel access ladder with a gray epoxy paint finish mounted to a concrete pump pit wall. The ladder features three-quarter-inch diameter stainless steel rungs spaced at twelve inches typically, with the top rung step-off aligned flush with the top of the concrete curb. Standard wall brackets constructed from three-inch by eight-inch by three-eighths-inch stainless steel angles are welded integral to the ladder and anchored to the concrete wall using one-half-inch diameter stainless steel expansion anchors with a three-and-three-quarters-inch minimum embedment. Floor brackets made from four-inch by four-inch by three-eighths-inch by two-and-one-quarter-inch long stainless steel angles secure the base to the slab using similar expansion anchors. An underwater-approved potting compound covers a bonding lug and a number eight solid insulated copper wire connected to the pool reinforcing.
