An outdoor condensing unit or heat pump unit sits atop an equipment support per structural drawings, resting on vibration isolators at each corner. Insulated refrigerant liquid and suction lines, along with a control conduit and liquid-tight flexible conduit for electrical service, route from the unit to a roof pipe curb assembly. The top of the condensing unit remains level when installed on sloped roofs. A pipe curb assembly with pipes through the top or side, or a field-fabricated hood, is acceptable for the roof penetration.
NOTES: 1. TOP OF CONDENSING UNIT SHALL BE LEVEL WHERE INSTALLED ON SLOPED ROOFS. 2. PIPE CURB ASSEMBLY WITH PIPES THROUGH TOP SHOWN. PIPE CURB ASSEMBLY WITH PIPES THROUGH SIDE OR FIELD FABRICATED HOOD ACCEPTABLE. SEE PIPE PENETRATION THROUGH ROOF DETAIL. CONDENSING UNIT OR HEAT PUMP OUTDOOR UNIT FAN GUARD (TYP) CONDENSER COIL REFRIGERANT LIQUID LINE WITH INSULATION AS SPECIFIED REFRIGERANT SUCTION LINE WITH INSULATION PIPE PENETRATION THRU ROOF. SEE 5/M-902. CONTROL CONDUIT VIBRATION ISOLATOR AT EACH CORNER PER SECTION 230548 EQUIPMENT SUPPORT PER STRUCTURAL ELEC SERVICE IN LIQUID TIGHT FLEXIBLE CONDUIT. SEE ELEC DWGS
