An exhaust fan mounts onto a minimum eight-inch high factory steel curb supported by a concrete roof structure. A one-half by two-inch neoprene pad sits all around beneath the unit, secured with one-quarter-inch minimum hex head lag bolts into the curb using two per side. Three-inch minimum concrete wedge anchor bolts secure the assembly with two per side, resting on a fire-retardant Douglas Fir number one leveling block shaped to level the unit. Cant strips and counter flashing protect the roofing intersection. A backdraft damper installs directly below the exhaust fan inside the curb opening.
