This piping schematic outlines the connections for a heat recovery coil, incorporating isolation valves and strainers on the supply and return lines. Unions are provided typically adjacent to the coil connections for ease of maintenance and removal. An air vent is positioned at the high point of the piping arrangement, and pressure and temperature test plugs are included typically. A three-quarter-inch ball valve with a hose thread drain connection is installed to facilitate system draining. Piping is arranged to maintain required service clearances.
