A pre-manufactured equipment support curb is secured over a metal deck assembly with a minimum six-inch layer of rigid insulation. A fourteen-gauge galvanized plate extends one flute beyond the outside dimensions of the curb and is fastened to the metal deck with number ten sheet metal screws spaced at six inches on center all around. The equipment support curb, model ES-5, contains a six-inch nominal pressure-treated wood nailer near the top and is attached to the fourteen-gauge plate using a minimum of three number ten sheet metal screws per side spaced at six inches on center. Roofing materials extend up and under the support cap.
