A galvanized metal roof curb is leveled and anchored to the roof framing per structural drawings. A factory curb cant strip sits inside against the vertical wall, with roofing material applied over the assembly. A wood nailer secures the lower edge of the curb with five-sixteenths by two-inch screws with washers spaced at twenty-four inches on center with a minimum of two per side. Twenty-penny by four-inch nails secure each corner at twelve inches on center with a minimum of three on each side of the unit. A fire sprinkler by others is positioned nearby above the roof.
