An exhaust fan mounts to a 24-gauge sheetmetal curb with soldered corners, secured to the roof using one and one-half inch roofing nails at four inches on center. The exhaust fan attaches to the curb with number 10 Tek screws, placed one on each side. A backdraft damper sits inside a sheetmetal sleeve, accompanied by a sheetmetal exhaust plenum wrapped in one inch insulation. Existing two-by framing stiffeners support the roof penetration, while a spin-in collar connects as required per plan.
