A base mounted pump is installed on a four-inch concrete pad with spherical type flexible connector reducers on both suction and discharge piping. The suction side incorporates a suction diffuser with an adjustable support leg and removable strainer, while the discharge side includes a lift check valve, venturi flow measuring station, and butterfly valve with minimum straight pipe distances as required by the manufacturer. Gauge valves and a pressure gauge are provided for system monitoring, and an additional butterfly valve is installed on the discharge riser where variable frequency drives are not used.
