An exhaust fan is mounted to a factory-sloped curb supported by a concrete roof deck with rigid insulation, cant strip, and roofing applied by the general contractor. The fan attaches to the curb per the manufacturer's instructions, while the curb itself is fastened directly to the roof structure. A motorized damper is installed within the duct drop, which includes ten feet of acoustic duct lining as specified by the basis of design.
