An HSS guiderail support post welded to a 12 inches by 6 inches by 3/8 inch base plate anchored atop a concrete pit wall. The base plate is secured with two 1/2 inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 36 hex head anchor rods featuring a 6 inch embedment into the concrete. The anchor rods are spaced 9 inches on center with 1 1/2 inch edge clearances. The base plate sets back 1/4 inch from the outer face of the 6 inch concrete pit wall.
