A fourteen-inch by fourteen-inch by sixteen-inch deep welded carbon steel cleanout is installed at the bottom of the kitchen hood exhaust duct riser. An access door is fitted into the cleanout housing for maintenance. The exhaust duct riser extends upward to the fan with sizes determined per the architectural or mechanical plans.
