An exhaust duct connects to the top of a fume hood using stainless steel screws and a continuous seal. The rectangular outlet utilizes a rectangular-to-round transition piece fabricated from a minimum twenty-two gauge sheet metal. Stainless steel screws secure the transition and duct to the fume hood collar with an applied seal ensuring airtight integrity. The round outlet similarly fastens directly to the hood collar with stainless steel screws and sealant.
