A vertical pipe penetrates a metal roofing assembly and is sealed with a pre-molded ethylene propylene diene monomer or rubber boot installed per the manufacturer's instructions. A stainless steel clamping ring secures the top of the boot, maintaining the intact manufacturer rib or lip. Base flashing is provided by the general contractor with in-seam sealant and an approximate half-inch lap sealant applied at the roof interface. Installation must be modified to match the roofing type and installed to be water-tight, referencing architectural drawings for roof construction and plans for pipe size and location.
