Utility fan scroll with a drain connection leading into a removable access lid comprising the grease exhaust fan drain assembly. The drain assembly includes a 12-inch by 4-inch separator can with a vertical baffle positioned 1 inch above the bottom and a water outlet located 2 inches from the edge. A 1/2-inch flange extends outward on the can with a loose hem on the lid, and section view C-C shows a 12-inch by 4-inch dimension with a notch for the drain.
