An insulated sheet metal trunk duct connects to a round rigid branch duct via a spin-in fitting containing a balance damper with a locking quadrant. The rigid duct is wrapped with foil-faced one and a half inch fiberglass insulation and secured to the spin-in fitting using number ten by three-quarters inch self-tapping cadmium-plated sheet metal screws without pop rivets. Hanger straps support the main duct assembly tightly against the duct and support members. All hanger straps and fasteners must be installed tightly according to typical standards.
