A mechanical unit sits atop a raised timber curb constructed from two-by-six framing with three-quarter-inch plywood sheathing. The curb and platform are waterproofed with a heat-fused thermoplastic polyolefin membrane and a slip sheet, finished with a reinforced corner at the base transition. The assembly bears on a standard roof assembly detailed elsewhere.
