A vertical pipe penetration passes through the existing roofing, sealed with a Stoneman lead flashing model number 1000 featuring a 6-inch skirt and 4-pound weight set in mastic. The flange is fastened with galvanized roofing nails at 4 inches on center continuously around the perimeter, positioned 2 inches in from the flashing edge. A Zurn counterflashing or equal is installed over the lead flashing and filled with urethane caulking to form a watertight seal. Mastic is applied at the perimeter where walking pads set in mastic extend 4 inches past the flashing typical.
