A fire smoke damper assembly is installed within a duct passing through a fire and smoke rated partition. Duct insulation wraps continuously along the exterior of the ductwork approaching the barrier. An actuator operates the damper blades via linkage, connected to smoke detection control. Retaining angles secure the sleeve to the rated assembly.
