An insulated sheet metal main duct receives a round rigid branch duct through a spin-in fitting equipped with a balance damper and locking quadrant. The round rigid duct is wrapped with one and a half inch foil-faced fiberglass insulation and secured to the fitting using number ten by three-quarter-inch self-tapping cadmium-plated sheet metal screws, prohibiting the use of pop rivets. Hanger straps support the main duct tightly against its support members.
