A vent pipe or roof penetration passes through a framed opening in the roof structure beneath metal roofing. A vent flashing collar fits over the pipe, secured with a draw band and elastomeric sealant tape between the pipe and collar. Sealant is applied at the top joint, while base flashing is set in a full bed of roof cement below the built-up roofing assembly.
