A flexible duct connects to a ceiling diffuser set within the ceiling plane, with duct sizes specified per the plans. The flexible duct is limited to a maximum length of five feet and secures to the collar using two nylon duct straps. A one-inch by twenty-two gauge hanger band is fastened to the metal roof deck and concrete deck using screws to support the duct run. A minimum of two seismic straps are provided for lateral restraint.
