Two steel welding neck flanges connect with a bolt or stud and steel nut, separated by a one-eighth-inch-thick insulating gasket between their faces. An insulating sleeve with a one-thirty-second-inch wall thickness surrounds the bolt inside the bolt holes to prevent metal-to-metal contact. One-eighth-inch-thick insulating washers and one-eighth-inch-thick steel washers sit beneath the steel nuts to complete the electrical isolation of the piping joint.
