Ceiling-hung equipment is suspended from the overhead structure using vertical support rods attached to underlying support members. Four-way seismic wire rope or cable bracing extends outward from the four corners of the equipment frame to provide lateral restraint. The wire rope sway bracing is installed at a typical forty-five-degree horizontal angle in plan view. The vertical angle of the seismic bracing ranges from thirty to ninety degrees relative to the structure as specified in the engineering table.
