A flexible pipe expansion loop assembly integrates rigid piping with braided flexible pipe sections to absorb thermal expansion and contraction. The configuration includes expansion guides positioned along the pipeline per manufacturer requirements to direct pipe movement into the loop. Expansion loops are designed to accommodate a four-inch contraction or expansion unless noted otherwise. Horizontal orientations require additional supports installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. The basis of design for this assembly is the Metraflex Metraloop.
