A six-inch schedule forty galvanized pipe stanchion supports a C10x15.3 steel channel beam topped with strut channels and pipe clamps for insulated pipes. The stanchion is welded with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds to a five-eighths by twelve by twelve inch base plate. The base plate is anchored to an eleven-inch concrete slab using four five-eighths inch diameter Hilti KB-TZ expansion anchors with a four-inch minimum embedment into three thousand PSI normal weight concrete. A separate plan view details the base plate dimensions, bolt hole locations, and stanchion weld placement.
