A variable refrigerant flow unit is suspended overhead using 3/8-inch all-thread rods. The unit features a 1 1/4-inch primary drain PVC connection requiring a minimum slope of 1/8-inch per foot. An emergency drain PVC connection utilizes a 1 1/4-inch to 3/4-inch PVC adapter tied to a UL-508 listed condensate overflow switch, specifically a RectorSeal SS2 or equal, designed to turn off the unit when water is present. Liquid and suction gas refrigerant lines connect to the side of the unit, alongside a 1 1/4-inch spontaneous drain connection. Clearances and additional installation parameters are referenced per the manufacturer's installation, operation, and maintenance manual.
