The domestic water service enters through a six-inch cold water line equipped with a typical union above the floor. A water meter measures the incoming flow, branching into a three-quarter-inch cold water supply and a three-quarter-inch capped drain. An expansion tank ties into the system alongside a relief valve set at one hundred psig with a full-size discharge to the drain. Shut-off valves are installed with handles removed and hung adjacent per drawing instructions. A floor hose end with a vacuum breaker and a three-quarter-inch drain valve are provided for maintenance.
