Equipment is mounted over a sheet metal overflow drain pan that is suspended independently from the building structure using threaded rods and nuts. The pan features a crimped edge and a cross break sloping toward the drain connection, which can be configured as a bottom-connected or side-connected drain pipe. A flood detector is positioned at the lowest location of the drain pan and interlocked to shut off the equipment unit upon water detection. A three-quarter-inch normally closed shutoff valve with a hose connection and cap is provided at the drain outlet.
