An in-line exhaust fan is mounted with its intake positioned twelve inches from the ceiling and suspended from the structure above using spring hangers. One-inch diameter threaded rods and primed angle iron supports secure the unit from below, while seismic snubbers provide lateral restraint to the structure. Flexible duct connections and duct hanger straps join the fan housing to the adjoining ductwork. An inlet guard protects the intake, and an accessible motor section is integrated into the housing.
