An inline pump is connected to piping that incorporates a Y-type strainer with a blowdown valve on the suction side, complete with a minimum of 1/4 inch tubing typically used for gauge connections. A pump triple duty valve is installed on the discharge side to combine the functions of a check valve, balancing valve, and shut-off valve. Pressure gauges and associated isolation valves flank the assembly to monitor differential pressures across the pump and strainer.
