An all-thread rod suspends mechanical loads from an open web joist using a double-nut and square-washer configuration. The threaded rod passes vertically through the bottom chord of the joist. A square washer and two hex nuts secure the member from above and below to prevent slip. A maximum weight limitation of 500 pounds applies to this assembly.
