An insulated pipe is supported by a clevis-style hanger suspended from a one-half inch diameter minimum threaded rod. An eighteen gauge galvanized sheet metal saddle protects the insulation beneath the hanger and is tack welded to the hanger. The insulation length extends a minimum of three times the pipe size with a minimum length of nine inches.
