A standard weight steel pipe sleeve passes through the interior wall, sized to accommodate both the pipe and its insulation. The pipe and insulation are centered within the sleeve without transferring structural loads to it. Fire-rated sealant is applied at fire-rated walls to maintain a smoke-tight assembly. The sleeve terminates flush with the finished wall surfaces on both sides.
