The landing beam per plan frames into a hollow structural section post featuring a cap plate per plan and a stiffener plate per detail 1/S600 similar. A half-inch gap is maintained between the structural components. Connection angles sized L4x4x1/4 are three inches long on each side, secured with typical quarter-inch fillet welds. A concrete over metal pan stair landing assembly bears upon the structural framework.
