Refrigerant lines including a liquid line and an insulated suction line penetrate a roof assembly through a wood curb built by the general contractor. A twenty gauge galvanized sheet metal hood covers the penetration, complemented by a sheet metal collar sealed with mastic. Base flashing protects the junction between the wood curb and the roof construction. Pipes are sloped away from the hood to ensure proper drainage.
